Who owns the camp? The camp is held in a trust. The Trustees manage the camp to insure its future to provide youth with a camping experience and an appreciation of the outdoors. The Trustees are also volunteers. |
Where is the closest hospital? An emergency care hospital is located in Minden, approx. 20 minutes north on Hwy. 35. |
Does the camp provide on-site staff and meals? No. Each group must provide programming, supervisory and support staff including life guards. |
What washroom facilities are available? Seasonal - Main Kybo: 5 toilets, 2 urinals, 5 sinks; Tiger Showers: 16 shower heads, 2 sinks; Year-Round - Staff Kybos: 2 toilets, 1 urinal, 1 shower, 2 sinks/2 toilets, 1 shower, 2 sinks; Kitchen: 1 toilet, 1 sink |
How many people can the camp accommodate? Winter - 62 in heated cabins. Summer - 102 in heated and un-heated cabins Tent sites are also available. Max. occupancy of the Main Lodge is 120 people. Small Groups - 2 Rover Cabins are suitable for smaller groups. Each cabin sleeps 10. |
Is the tap water safe to drink? Yes. The potable water from our well is filtered and treated with UV filtration. |
Garbage Collection? There is a dumpster on-site which is emptied by a contractor. Pick-up is on Monday. (pick-up frequencies vary depending on camp usage) |
